Our children’s charity is here to make a difference.
There are several children’s charities serving Iredell County, North Carolina that aim to help struggling children in the community. At Food For Days, our charity is unique in that we give children access to food each weekend when they otherwise might have gone hungry.
What is Our Mission?
Since 2010, our mission has been to help children struggling with food insecurity. Food insecurity can affect many families due to a variety of circumstances, like rising rent prices, job loss, medical bills, and others.
How Does Our Organization Work?
We partner with local businesses, churches, and organizations to purchase and collect food. We then distribute this food and put it in backpacks – each one includes two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, snacks, and drinks. After putting the bags together, we drop them off at local schools, and they are given to students on Friday afternoon before they leave for the day.
How Can You Get Involved?
We realize there are many children’s charities in the area you can work with, but we encourage you to get involved with our organization because you can instantly start making a difference. For example, host a local food drive, collect items of the month, host a fundraising event, or simply become a donor. Whatever you can do is greatly appreciated!
